The Thompson School of Applied Science Culinary Arts Program offers two week-long morning sessions of Culinary Classes in its commercially licensed kitchen facility on the UNH Durham campus.
In 2017, two week long half-day sessions were offered:
- Session I for students entering Grades 5-6; July 10-14
- Session II for students entering Grades 7-8; July 17-21
Classes run from 8:30 am - 12 pm (Mon - Thurs). Friday's session ends at 1:00 pm as family members are invited to a Culinary Food Fair on Friday from 12 noon - 1 pm.
Students will have a morning snack daily.
Each session will explore basic cooking and baking techniques with varied regional offerings. Participate in a unique, hands-on cooking experience and explore the world of culinary arts!
Please note that a culinary essential skills list will be prepared and sent to all class participants prior to the session start date.
