Cost: $800 (includes all training materials and access to the online RENEW Facilitator Learning Portal)
Coffee, water, and lunch provided. Participants should feel free to bring their own prepared breakfast and/or snacks.

A three-day, in-depth training on facilitating the Resilience, Empowerment, and Natural supports for Education and Work (RENEW™) model and process.

RENEW is a youth-directed planning and support process designed to meet the needs of young people ages 14–26 who may be experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges, have a limited social support system, and need to figure out where they are headed.

Through group activities and instruction, learn to engage youth, facilitate personal futures planning through mapping, develop individualized teams and resources, conduct school-to career planning, and empower youth to lead the process. .

Agenda
     - Day 1: Orientation to the RENEW Process, youth and family engagement, personal futures planning.
     - Day 2: Team facilitation, progress monitoring, resource development, and transition strategies.
     - Day 3: Problem-solving for facilitators, education and support strategies, employment supports, and planning for adult living and careers.

Who Should Attend
RENEW facilitators can be school staff, mental health professionals, residential treatment staff, health care providers, social workers, youth and family counselors, and young adult peer support specialists who support youth ages 14–26. However, training RENEW facilitators is just one piece of effectively delivering RENEW to youth. Successful sites establish a system team to manage referrals, analyze outcomes data, and ensure facilitators are supported, including with professional development and coaching from the IOD. Facilitators need space to meet with youth, mapping supplies, and dedicated time in their schedules. If you have questions about your organization's readiness, please email us.
