Technology creates opportunities for students to demonstrate their understanding of content knowledge through many modalities. However, for students to demonstrate understanding successfully, teachers must scaffold projects, predict potential barriers to success, and assess creations in meaningful ways.  

Participants in this workshop will learn multimodal composition concepts and practices by making and assessing their own digital creations. By focusing on concepts of design and multi-literacies in your own work, you will develop techniques to teach and assess those concepts in the classroom. Upon completion of the workshop, participants will feel comfortable engaging in and assessing digital creations in their classrooms.
