Course Description
Is your organization having trouble making the transition from Waterfall to Agile Project Management/Product Development? There is an answer for this-it’s called “Hybrid” Project Management. There is a way to utilize the best Agile processes have to offer with minimal impact on the culture of the organization.
This two-day hands-on Certification class teaches students the concepts and intentions of Agile methods and how to maintain the value-adding parts of Waterfall or traditional Project Management practices.
This energetic and interactive course explores the many ways to blend the best of both, but WGA’s recommendation is to apply Agile thinking at the onset of the project as requirements are gathered and validated, and to apply Waterfall planning in generating project plans. Agile techniques can then be folded into the execution of projects.
Participants will apply principles taught in a class project thus bringing the Hybrid approach to life. Teams will report on their class projects so all can benefit.
Certificate enrollment fee includes the course textbook, certification exam fee, and a set of Hybrid Project Management templates.
No prerequisites necessary.
Hybrid Approach Project Management Certificate students are eligible for 12 PDUs for Project Management Institute (PMI) certification.
