Course Description

Tech Camp at UNH Manchester: Summer 2024

This program requires submission of a Manchester Tech Camp Application (available until May 1, 2024 at 5 pm).

Tech Camp at UNH Manchester is a summer program for participants entering grades 5-12 who are students in the Manchester, NH school district.  It is designed to increase STEAM literacy and experiential learning. The programs engage students in interactive, hands-on, problem-solving activities in areas of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM). Offered through the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, Tech Camp provides students with access to state-of-the-art facilities, advanced technology, and award-winning faculty. Manchester Tech Camp fosters a diverse and inclusive community, making STEAM education available to all curious learners.

The Manchester Tech Camp sessions are held at the UNH Manchester campus  (Pandora Mill Building), 88 Commercial St., Manchester, NH.  

These are day camps that run Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 4pm. Space is limited in all programs.

Priority will be given to students enrolled in public schools within the Manchester School District (Hillside MS, McLaughlin MS, MS at Parkside, Southside MS, Central HS, Memorial HS, Manchester School of Technology or West HS). Other students from the greater Manchester area may enroll on a space available basis. All families must complete our online application.

Students not from a Manchester public school (listed above) will be placed on a waiting list until April 15, 2024. If our programs have any remaining spots at that time, those students will be considered.

All Manchester Tech Camp programs are FREE and are made possible through the generous support of the EDA Build Back Better Regional Challenge Work and Learn funding.

Enrollment should not be done here and will not be accepted unless the student/family has been informed of admission by a member of the Manchester Tech Camp staff. If a student enrolls without applying and being accepted, the enrollment will be dropped.

Tech Camp at UNH Manchester - 2024

Registration Process:

• Complete the Manchester Tech Camp Application. Applications will close on May 1, 2024 at 5pm unless the program is full prior to this date.
• Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and applicants are typically informed of their acceptance status within three weeks of submitting an application. 
• All applicants will be informed of their acceptance status via email from the camp staff, along with further registration instructions. Do not enroll here unless you have received notice of admission from a Tech Camp staff member via email. If a student enrolls without applying and being accepted, the enrollment will be dropped.
• Once a student has received notice of admission, click the '+' sign in the block on the right to enroll in the appropriate session as provided by the program staff.
• Registrations must be completed by June 1, 2024. Submitting an application does not automatically enroll the student into the program. If accepted, families still need to complete the online registration.

Online Registration Instructions: please review before enrolling for the best outcome. Family Accounts are recommended for enrolling multiple children from one family in any UNH Youth Program. If you already have an account in our system, you will be asked to log into either a Family or Student Account. Be sure you know which type of account you have and know your username and password. We recommend you attempt to log into the Student or Family account before enrollment opens as this will minimize difficulty and time while enrolling. Email youth.programs@unh.edu if you require assistance recovering your account information. Do not create a new account if you have one already.

If you don't have an account already, you can set up an account at any time, even before you begin the registration process. When you create a new account, the email address provided in the profile should be that of a parent/legal guardian, not the participating student.

CampDoc: UNH has partnered with CampDoc to quicken the enrollment process. Enrollments and payments will still be done here through our current enrollment system, but no registration questions will be required at that time. Within a few days of enrolling, the email provided in the Student/Family Account will receive an email prompting completion of the registration questions.

It is important that a parent/guardian respond to the CampDoc email and complete the registration questions promptly. Families who enrolled a child through our current enrollment system in 2023 will likely already have a CampDoc account. A parent/guardian still needs to log into the student’s account and complete any necessary questions for this program/year. A participant’s CampDoc profile must be 100% complete before they can attend the program.
