Course Description

Join UNH Professional Development & Training for a multi-day workshop designed to teach you the ins and outs of starting your own craft brewery. This workshop is designed for working professionals who benefit from a flexible format. Workshop sessions will be lead by craft brewery owners and industry professionals who will share their stories and provide insights into the inner workings of their business. Attendees from previous years will also share valuable tips about their startup experiences. Each day will take you deeper into the process as you gather helpful information about funding, brewing logistics, marketing, supplies, ingredients, quality, legal issues, distribution and strategic planning. You’ll leave the workshop with a personalized business plan, new industry contacts, good memories and a better understanding of what it takes to enter the nano/craft brewing market.

This course also includes a FREE Beer Sensory Training in which you will learn how to evaluate beer on a professional level, experience a series of off flavors and discuss their causes, as well as gain a framework for how to set up your own record keeping and product evaluation program.
