Course Description

This course will include a brief introduction to local responsibilities for accessibility in pedestrian infrastructures, including PROWAG, Steps to Title II Compliance, and the Role of an ADA Coordinator, but the primary focus will be on evaluation your pedestrian infrastructure to understand where opportunities exist to improve accessibility, knowing what accessibility means for all your network's users, and experiencing your road network from another users' perspective.   Pedestrian Infrastructure technical considerations and options will also be discussed.

This course is open to NH municipal and state public works agencies and RPCs only.

Attendees should come prepared for time outside, including high-vis PPE to work roadside, appropriate attire to protect against insects and sun, etc. 

There is no food or beverage service provided for this workshop, so attendees are encouraged to bring their own snacks or refreshments as needed.

Withdrawal Policy: In the event that you are unable to attend a program for any reason, please note you must submit your withdrawal via email to T2.Center@unh.edu or via phone message to 603.862.1362 at least 72 hours in advance of the start of a program to receive a refund. If a withdrawal is not received by UNH T2 at least 72 hours prior to the program start, the full program fee will be charged and is nonrefundable.  Substitutions are allowable at any time, and UNH T2 staff will be happy to assist in registering an alternative attendee from your organization at no cost.
