Course Description

TECHNICAL - 6 hours

This one-day workshop is intended for someone with little to no grader experience, but does not include any theory or classroom training.  Students who wish to learn about the basic components of a grader, routine grader maintenance, or other in-depth classroom training should attend the two-day Grader training workshop.

Learn how to operate a grader with one day in-the-field "hands-on" training. Students will review basic blading techniques via instructor-led training "on the grader". The class will be small, so participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and interact with the instructors.

Anticipated Learning Outcomes:
1. Safely operate a grader to complete a practice course in the field.
2. Demonstrate basic blading techniques
3. Explain maintenance of a grader
