If you are preparing soil maps and related reports, or prepping to become a Certified Soil Scientist at any level, this course will provide a current review of classifying soils, with a concentration on the glaciated soils of New England. New professionals in the field will find the "Soil Genesis” workshop helpful as a foundation to this workshop, but it it not required. Dress for field work for classification of several pedons in the field. Class meets at Granite State College for 2-3 hours and then moves to Broken Ground Conservation Area for field work.
