Course Description

Did you know there are seven types of native pollinators in New Hampshire that fertilize plants—from wildflowers to much of the food we eat? This course will provide an overview of pollinators, from bees to butterflies to birds, covering some 30,000 species in North America alone. We will examine the grave threats they face (with some species declining by over 80%) and, most importantly, explore what we can do to help restore pollinators and their habitats. The good news is that we can each make a difference for our pollinators, and thus for our world.
