PDT-TchGN-23 - Growth Mindset and Risk to Enhance Learning

Course Description

Educators are in a unique position to assist students in the development of their growth mindset. In this workshop, educators will learn to facilitate an environment of healthy intellectual and emotional risks that promotes a growth mindset and develops students' skills for academic and interpersonal success.

This engaging presentation will use experiential activities to explore mindsets, discuss the research and neuroscience behind learning and mindsets, examine educators' mindsets impact on student achievement, and provide strategies to assist educators in introducing these concepts in their classrooms. Participants will take away a tool kit of activities for their classrooms, including resources to introduce families to promote a growth mindset.

Any educator, regardless of experience level, will benefit as we seek to answer: How can we as educators truly help our students reach their potential?
