Course Description

This workshop provides an overview of some of the online platforms that are accessible, free of charge, for UNH graduate students. These platforms offer a variety of services, from career planning to mentorship. 

• NCFDD is a professional development, training, and mentoring community for faculty, postdocs, and graduate students. NCFDD supports academics from 450+ colleges and universities making successful transitions throughout their careers. 

• Beyond the Professoriate (PhD students) is the only online professional development training platform for graduate students, postdocs, faculty, and PhDs that helps them successfully transition into academic or nonacademic careers. This research-driven platform is informed by nearly a decade of experience supporting PhDs to launch new careers with their skills and training.

• IDP/Imagine PhD The individual development plan (IDP) is a tool that helps plan short and long-term career objectives and identifying professional development activities needed to reach them provided through Imagine PhD.
