Course Description

This session places a special focus on the role of fitness in achieving a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

The stress of work/life has reached an all-time high in the United States. Individuals are asked to fill many roles in their jobs, be an expert of the content area, to work long hours, be supportive of family members, to stay positive and healthy, to meet deadlines. We are all caring and supportive by nature and give energy every day to others. Our own personal stress and well-being often goes unnoticed. This course is specifically designed to provide working professionals with practical self-care strategies that can be implemented immediately.

The participants in these workshops will develop a thorough plan for personal self-care that will focus on balancing their daily work and personal lives. The workshops are designed so learners can create their own learning outcomes within the realm of self-care. They will be coached by the instructor in the areas of nutrition, exercise, and stress management with an emphasis on habit change.
