Course Description

Why does severe weather strike some regions more than others? Will climate change affect everyone equally? In this eye-opening course, a meteorologist and climatologist team up to explore how a warming planet is changing the frequency and intensity of today’s weather—from heat waves to floods to shifts in snowfall. We’ll examine the science behind these changes, what drives them and what the future may hold if global goals are not met. Discussion will also explore strategies beyond reducing carbon emissions to adapt to and slow these impacts. Together, we’ll untangle the complex relationship between weather and climate to better understand what lies ahead.
