Course Description

Explore the 21st century elementary student that is often oppositional and hard to reach.

Educators and parents use terms such as disruptive, distracted, aggressive, off-task and unteachable. Although these kids may appear unteachable, as educators we need to prevent further disintegration of their school-based experience.

Students that are displaying some or all of these behaviors are communicating unhappiness, anxiety, possibly depression via maladaptive behaviors. We will delve into how to look at these students with a new lens.

Join us and learn to use a variety of strategies that may help these children begin a more successful job fulfilling their role being a student.
