Course Description

So often, educators are asked to add social-emotional learning elements into their curriculum, but don’t know where to start or how to make it meaningful and seamless in the lessons they are already offering. In this course, we will explore CASEL’s core competencies in SEL and learn how organically these competencies can be integrated into English and Humanities classes. Intended for 5-12 ELA/Humanities educators and administrators.

Participants will:

  • Gain confidence in the ways to seamlessly add SEL lessons to the curriculum you already use.
  • See examples of SEL integrated lessons you can use and adapt in your own classroom.
  • Create an integrated SEL/Humanities lesson to use in your own classroom this year.
