TTC-T-0004 - Pavement Marking & Sign Technology

Course Description

Join Mike Allen of 3M and Eric Healey of NHDOT for a presentation on pavement marking safety including dry and wet retroreflectivity, and durability, as well as sign reflectivity and technology, and how the MUTCD applies to each.

Pavement Marking discussion will include MUTCD highlights, Materials Types (Durables and Non-Durables), and Inspection. Longer-lasting, more visible pavement marking is improving road safety and preparing for the future of cars. Class includes time to see and discuss pavement marking equipment.

Reflective signing discussion will include MUTCD highlights, sheeting types and inspection. Reviewing warranted signing solutions if your shop is buying finished signs or fabricating your own signs. Hosts will provide a tour of their own sign shops, including demonstration and display of any sign making equipment and digital printing technology.

This half-day (4 hr) workshop will include a sign shop tour and line marking equipment display. Lunch will be provided.
