Course Description

The ideal classroom can be a place of community, comradery, and harmony. As you know, this doesn’t just happen. The teacher is the conductor and must consider routine, rituals, novelty, differentiation, and other factors. Key elements of environment, strategies for learning as well as the group makeup are part of creating flow. We'll review brain-based research on self-regulation, experiment with strategies from mindfulness to movement, and discuss what works best for your classroom setting. Today's student doesn’t present with a one size fits all profile. Include them all in your orchestra to help them access curriculum in a peaceful, welcoming environment.
