PDT-TchEC-15 - Practical Interventions for the Angry, Anxious Student (elementary)

Course Description

This seminar will focus on point-of-performance strategies and interventions, highlighting some compelling case studies. These kids are not going away, and we need to step back and rethink how to reach and connect with them. Social emotional learning (SEL) coupled with human connections, tailored to the child's developmental level, is the key to accessing participation. We will consider collaborative team efforts to create a consistent experience for the child. Let's give the child the message that we see them and acknowledge the tough stuff, but also help guide them towards self-regulation.

Prior completion of "The Angry, Anxious Child in School" is recommended for a comprehensive understanding of the seminar content.
