Welcome! The Bridges Training Series is an online program run by the Institute on Disability at the University of New Hampshire (UNH). Bridges prepares young adults aged 18-24 with intellectual and developmental disabilities for careers, higher education, and independent living.

The Bridges Training Series is for people who:

  • Are 18-24 years old
  • Have an intellectual disability or developmental disability
  • Have received or used to receive services under IDEA, such as an IEP or a 504 plan

Bridges offers four (4) virtual trainings:

  • Tools and Tech for Academic Success
  • Using Person-Centered Planning
  • Healthy and Social Aspects of Life
  • Next Steps in Person-Centered Planning

Bridges participants will be billed if they are accepted into the program. If you are working with New Hampshire Vocational Rehabilitation, they might pay for this training series. Your school district or area agency might also pay for some of the training series costs. More details about the cost will be shared after you apply.

Application does not guarantee admission to the program. Space is limited. We might not accept everyone who applies to the program. Please submit your application as soon as possible.

After you submit your application, Bridges staff will contact you to do an interview on Zoom.
