Therapeutic Riding Summer 2024 - June 10th to July 24th

Hello Everyone!

Our 2024 Summer session will be 6 weeks, from June 10 – July 24. Lessons will not be scheduled during the week of July 4th. Each session will meet once a week. Group sessions are 60 minutes long and private sessions are 45 minutes long.

Session Schedule: Group sessions on Monday and Wednesday from 4:00 PM -7:00 PM. Private sessions will be scheduled on an as-available basis, with instructor Annelie, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Private sessions will be scheduled during client intake interviews (phone, zoom, or in-person) and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

• Hippotherapy (private, 30-minute sessions) - $400.00
• Private mounted Therapeutic Riding Lesson - $400.00
• Group mounted Therapeutic Riding Lesson - $300.00
• Private or Group ground-based lesson - $250.00
• Non-refundable registration fee $50.00

Registration deadline is June 1, 2024. The registration fee and all paperwork must be received by this deadline or you will not be able to participate. Participants must pay the remaining tuition balance by 6/10/2024.

There are a limited number of spots available. Once your registration application and fee have been received, we will be conducting intake interviews virtually and/or in-person.

The registration fee is non-refundable, unless we place you on a waiting list.

There is a small scholarship fund available. If you are applying for a scholarship, the scholarship form must accompany any interested party’s registration submission. The scholarship committee will notify applicants prior to final invoicing and scholarships will not exceed 25% of tuition.

Reminder; there is a 150 lbs. weight limit for riding classes to assure safety of the side walkers and for the welfare of the horses.

If you are requesting payment from another agency and they will be forwarding the deposit please email equine.therapies@unh.edu to manually submit your application after it has been filled out and saved. Make sure to write the name of the agency in the appropriate spot and save your form. If you prefer to mail a check instead of using a credit card, all checks should be made out to ‘‘UNH TRP’’ and returned to Elizabeth Johnson, UNH Therapeutic Riding Program, Equine Center, 278 Mast Rd. Ext., Durham, NH 03824.

Applicants will be invoiced for the appropriate tuition amount, based on their enrollment, after their intake.  Tuition balance must be paid by June 10, 2024.
