Course Description

The use of state wide permanent GNSS base station networks, often maintained by state department of transportations, has revolutionized both post-processed and real time GNSS. Historically these systems provide information to a user for processing in the office or collecting real time in the field via usually cell connection. In addition many of the systems provide their own internet based online processing of post processed data eliminating the need for office software.

The ability to continuously process in a central server changes the way we can perform real-time GNSS through systems such as VRS, Max, and I-Max. Finally advantages to use of vendor defined network real-time solutions will be demonstrated along with the rapidly advancing solution by Precise Point Positioning Ambiguity Resolution (PPP-AR) which is provided by vendors real time if desired.
