Course Description
The tennis clinics offer participants a 3-session introduction to tennis. This clinic focuses on developing quick tennis strokes and mechanics while also learning to love physical education.
No previous experience is required. These are Level 1 clinics; participants will use the lightest and softest tennis ball and a reduced size court to develop tennis skills.
The clinic is for youth in Grades 1-6. Participants are grouped by age and/or tennis skill level.
Participants are welcome to bring their own racquet. If the student brings their own racquet, these guidelines are recommended:
- Ages 6-8 should play with a 23-inch racquet
- Ages 8-10 are best suited to a 25-inch racquet
- Ages 9-11 should be playing with a 26-inch racquet
Lessons are held at the UNH Outdoor Tennis Courts, adjacent to the UNH Field House, 145 Main St., Durham NH. Please dress accordingly and bring a water bottle. Additional information regarding program drop off and pick up will be sent via email from the Campus Recreation staff the day before the session begins.
Campus Recreation does not offer refunds for tennis lessons, including missed sessions.

Online Registration Instructions: Review before enrolling for the best outcome. Family Accounts are recommended for enrolling multiple children from one family in any UNH Youth Program. If you already have an account in our system, you will be asked to log into either a Family or Student Account after adding the program to your shopping cart. Be sure to use the username and password for the type of account you wish to log into. We recommend attempting to log into the Student or Family account before enrollment opens as this will minimize difficulty and time while enrolling. Email youth.programs@unh.edu if you require assistance recovering your account information. Do not create a new account if you have one already.
If you don't have an account already, you can set up an account at any time, even before you begin the registration process. If creating a new student/individual account, the account must be in the name of the child, but the email address provided in the profile should be that of a parent/legal guardian.
CampDoc: UNH has partnered with CampDoc to quicken the enrollment process. Enrollments and payments will still be done here through our current enrollment system, but no registration questions will be required at that time. Within a few days of enrolling, the email provided in the Student or Family Account will receive an email prompting completion of the registration questions.
Due to very brief timelines between enrollment and the program start date, it is important that a parent/guardian respond to the CampDoc email and complete the registration questions promptly. A parent/guardian must log into the student’s account to review/update information, complete any necessary questions for this program and re-sign some waivers. A participant’s CampDoc profile must be 100% complete before they can attend the program.
For more information, including the CampDoc Support Line, review our “CampDoc” page.
