Course Description

This two-day hands-on course will cover various aspects of drone/UAV operation and applications. Topics covered will include: understanding airspace restrictions, pre-flight planning, on site assessment, emergency procedures, mission planning, camera settings, advanced settings, and flight display.

Students will also have the opportunity to learn, practice and demonstrate their skills with basic & advanced flight exercises with a group and an instructor.

No prior experience is required to attend!

However, while it is not required, we recommend completing the following courses prior to taking this course:

Students do not need to bring their own UAS to this course. Several different UAS platforms will be available to students for hands-on exercises. The age requirement for this program is 15. Please note that this course caps at 20 students to allow for a low flight assistant to student ratio.

This program from the University of New Hampshire has been certified and recognized by the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) CTI Program.
