Course Description

IMPORTANT NOTICE: This program is scheduled as a face-to-face classroom training during the Fall 2020 semester, but may be moved online due to future recommendations for distance learning due to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).  Any updates will be posted on this page and all enrolled students will be notified by email of any anticipated curtailments.

Are you feeling discouraged with your role in facilitating your students in a middle or high school setting? Come to this workshop to explore a variety of ways to reach, connect with, and serve these students. Focus on environmental interventions, how to work with students to help them “make sense” of curriculum demands, and, finally, how to truly connect with your student’s style of learning. We will consider executive functioning abilities, motor skills, alertness and attentional skills, as well as consider dependency vs. promotion of independence.
