NEW! This hands-on workshop will explore practical ways to use authentic tasks to enhance instruction through the five C’s framework.

Discuss the World-Readiness Standards for Learning Languages along with key principles of language acquisition in order to lay the groundwork for the development of language learners’ global competence.

Learn effective techniques for choosing and implementing authentic materials and easy-to-use digital tools in your teaching to build students’ communication modes, and cultural knowledge and awareness.

Sample projects and lessons will be used for discussion and can be easily tailored to meet the needs of your students. Learn how to create performance tasks and use scoring rubrics to assess students’ learning outcomes.
