Course Description

Drones (small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles or sUAVs) are an engaging context for teaching STEM topics in the middle school classroom. Drones can demonstrate, and provide challenging inquiry-based activities, in physics, mathematics, and geography.

Learn the basics of drones, how they relate to STEM and other standards, and how they can be safely used in an indoor or outdoor setting. You will be introduced to the types of functions a drone can perform including photography, videography, and geo-imaging, have the opportunity to fly a drone,  and learn how they are operated safely.
