Course Description

This 5th course begins a detailed look at the professional brewing process from a technical and scientific perspective. We will start with milling the grain, mashing, and following the wort through lautering, boiling, and finally whirlpooling while investigating why details in each step will affect your final product outcome.

  • Boiling and whirlpooling the wort: science and considerations
