Course Description

In this workshop, we will identify the key differences between Special Education (IEP) and Section 504 by highlighting the legal definitions and key elements required in each type of learning plan. We will discuss the entire process from referral through implementation, taking a deep dive into relevant language, differentiating between accommodations and modifications, and distinctions between types of special education services and related services.

This course is designed for the regular education teacher and the special education teacher, however, anyone interested in understanding student learning plans is encouraged to enroll.

Engage in conversations about best teaching practices that support plan implementation as well as positive student growth, progress, and outcomes. Come prepared to learn, share, and make new connections!
