Course Description

We are excited to offer a dynamic, activity-based workshop designed specifically for educators who want to build resilience in their K-12 students. This workshop focuses on primary prevention strategies that help students work together effectively, self-regulate, feel emotionally and physically safe, and develop a voice in shaping the culture and climate of their school. We’ll integrate mindfulness practices throughout to promote emotional regulation and presence, fostering an environment where students can cultivate resilience from within. Drawing on the principles of Full Value Communities, we will explore how to foster environments where every student feels valued, respected, and empowered.

  • The Full Value Commitment framework and how it can transform your classroom culture by promoting personal responsibility, emotional safety, and mutual respect.
  • Mindfulness Practices to help students develop self-awareness, manage stress, and regulate their emotions, building resilience both in and outside the classroom.
  • Collaborative Learning Techniques to foster teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Creating Emotionally Safe Spaces: Develop practices that help students feel safe physically and emotionally in school, essential to preventing burnout, anxiety, and other stressors.
