Course Description

Adobe InDesign combines some of the best features ever seen in desktop publishing software. It offers high-end integration with other Adobe products, such as Illustrator and Photoshop, while offering users a variety of features for producing exceptional documents for print or the web.

In this hands-on workshop you will be introduced to the toolbars, document setup, bleeds and gutters, grids and guides, photo and text placement, and exporting to PDF.

During Session I, students will learn how to set up their document, understand page layout, and how to place typography and graphics on the page. Students will see a variety of typography treatments, and learn the basics of color.

In Session II, students will work on live project with the professor on hand for questions and answers. Projects may include designing a simple post card, a flyer, or a brochure. At the end of the class students will share their work with others to show what graphic design techniques they learned and tried to execute.

Students must have an Adobe Creative Cloud login prior to attending class. Don't have an Adobe Creative Cloud login? Create one here before coming to class.
