In this age of program accountability, teachers need to be able to show and document student progress. In this workshop we will discuss the various types of assessments that can be used in the physical education classroom. Assessments include written assessments, video assessments, student-created projects, performance-based assessments, rubrics, self-assessments, and peer assessments. Programs such as the PE Metrics program will be discussed as well as programs and devices that can collect data that can be used to assess students on a daily basis. If possible, bring a sample of your school district's report card to the session as well as a computer and/or iPad if possible.
