Course Description

Let’s profile the playful preschooler. As educators, we will be meeting and greeting these children for their first school experience.

Review some basic child development needs for these precious years, focusing on fine and gross motor abilities. These abilities can and do affect a myriad of school performance tasks such as holding a crayon, opening a package, putting on clothes, standing in line, cutting, constructing etc.

Next, launch into preschool curriculum guidelines, reviewing multiple ways of providing the opportunities for learning, via center work, play and exploration. Come and expand your skill set, to address theirs. The 21st century child is different for a variety of reasons, but they can be a joy to teach!
