This program is a combination of online self-paced recorded lectures, online materials and exams plus 50 hours of one to one coaching on a Lean Six Sigma project dedicated to your business.
The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification program allows students to complete certification requirements for one of the most important and impactful credentials in business today.
The Lean Six Sigma discipline combines two of the most powerful improvement methodologies in modern history—Six Sigma and Lean. This course is designed for business professionals looking to lead Quality initiatives. Black Belts are capable of and typically oversee Green Belts and their projects and are qualified to participate with senior management in the creation and execution of an organizational Quality strategy.
There are two required elements for Black Belt Certification, both of which will be overseen by your Black Belt instructor/consultant:
- Training: Online asynchronous training will be available to the Belt candidates for 120 days from registration; This training includes access to the electronic class manual, online lectures, chapter quizzes, and the certification exam;
- Class Black Belt Project: A significant company sponsored project will be the basis for the application of Lean Six Sigma concepts, tools, and techniques in the generation of a project plan for a process improvement project. You Black Belt instructor will provide up to 50 hours of guidance for class project work.
All course materials and the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification exam fee are included in the program registration fee of $14,995.*
*Costs include $3,995 for the training and $11,000 for class project Black Belt oversight. UNH Professional Development Training and WGA requires that the instructor/consultant certifies the BB candidate is able to do everything expected of Black Belts upon graduation. The typical return on investment for the class project is $75,000 - $125,000+.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification students are eligible for 106 PDUs for Project Management Institute (PMI) certification.
