Course Description

Henry IV, Part I traces the development of Prince Hal from youthful rogue to the man who will become one of England's most influential monarchs. Along his journey he will be accompanied by the wily John Falstaff, one of Shakespeare's greatest comic characters. We will examine the background to the play and how Shakespeare turned it into art.
