Course Description

The UNH Choirs Master Teacher Series is designed exclusively for choral music educators of all levels. Its goal is to provide a continuing education opportunity for all music educators by connecting them with renowned choral musicians. This workshop will include sessions on rehearsal strategies, tone building, teaching for transfer, accessible choral repertoire, re-voicing existing music for your chorus, and a rehearsal masterclass. Participants will receive a reading packet of octavos appropriate for all levels, and lunch is also included. 

Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to:

  • Be able to demonstrate effective teaching techniques and rehearsal strategies
  • Have resources for selecting/re-voicing repertoire for developing choirs
  • Gain a new toolbox of ideas for developing tone within their ensemble
