Course Description

TECHNICAL - 5 hours

The three most important factors that affect the lifespan of a road are drainage, drainage, drainage. Keep your drainage under control and your roads living long with a culvert! A culvert is any closed conduit used to conduct surface runoff from one side of a road to another, from underneath a road or driveway, and leading to a stream, lake, or detention basin. Culvert pipes come in many materials, shapes, and sizes. Each material has its own characteristics and advantages. Learn the proper techniques and materials for installing and maintaining a culvert.
