Course Description

5 Technical Hours

This one day, hands-on workshop is geared towards students who have basic experience with the grader, including grading a road with the proper crown as well as basic ditching techniques, and are looking to refine those skills further.

Learn how to operate a grader with one day in-the-field "hands-on" training. Basic blading techniques and grader maintenance will be taught, as well as instructor-led training "on the grader". The class will be small, so participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and interact with the instructors.

Anticipated Learning Outcomes:
1. Operate a grader safely, which may include backsloping, demonstrate proper ditching techniques and to grade a road with the proper crown.
2. Demonstrate basic blading techniques.
