Course Description

Come and hear the history of the Daniel Webster Birthplace in Franklin and follow the Webster family starting in 1636 with the arrival of Thomas Webster. The course involves a guided tour of the grounds and house, along with an interpretive talk about the founding of New Hampshire, the colonial times, the revolution, the life and times of both Ebenezer and Daniel Webster and their impact on both the colonies relationship to Britain and French, the revolution, the beginnings of American as a nation and finally Daniel's impact on the new and future United States until his death in 1850 and how it resonates today.
