Course Description

This course is open to NH municipal employees, state public works agency employees, and Green SnowPro NH Salt Applicator Certified individuals seeking GSP Refresher training.

Let's keep it simple!  Want to use less SALT and show your community's waterways a little love?  Know how much salt you're putting down!  Calibration and Application Rates are key to using salt effectively and efficiently.  Extra salt may not only harm the environment, but it can also cause your budget some pain through wasted material.  In this fast-paced session, we'll review how to utilize application rate charts to choose the right amount of material to apply, and how to calibrate a spreader with two-knob manual hydraulic spreader (we'll share resources for calibrating other types of spreaders too).  Consider it your calibration boot camp before you start preparing equipment for winter!

Attendees should come prepared for time outside.

Food/Services: Coffee and donuts will be provided for morning sessions, and light snacks will be available for afternoon sessions.
