Course Description

This workshop is designed to help special education case managers, special education coordinators and classroom teachers motivate and use paraprofessionals and other support personnel more effectively. The workshop offers strategies and ideas that will help teachers become better managers of the human resources in their classrooms. It includes an up-beat mix of topical and thought-provoking lectures, as well as engaging group discussions and activities. Attendees will learn how to create an atmosphere of cooperation, collaboration and learning that will lead to greater success for students, and take away with a tool box that includes guides and further resources to help implement an effective and structured management system of support personnel.
