Course Description

Cosponsored by UNH STEM Teachers' Collaborative

Have you heard of Raspberry Pi and wondered if they could be useful in your STEM classroom? The Raspberry Pi is a tiny and affordable computer that you can use to learn programming, weather science, physics and engineering through fun, practical projects.

In this workshop, you'll learn how to use a Raspberry Pi in your STEM subject area. You'll learn enough basic Python to program a mini weather station or a basic alarm circuit, and have time to develop a lesson plan for your students based on state standards. Hop on the Pi wagon and see what fun you can have with your students' imaginations.

If teachers have their own Raspberry Pi and/or any peripherals they would like to use, it would be helpful to bring those to class. Loaner Raspberry Pi computers will be available for the day. Open to STEM (science, technology, engineering or math) teachers of grades 6-12, and district Technology Integrators.
