Course Description

Animated GIFs have been around since the late 1990s, but the rise of social media has allowed artists, businesses, and everyday users to create and share these fun mini-animations to grab people’s attention and communicate ideas in new ways.

Learn basic animation techniques and different strategies and methods used to create animated GIFs. Explore the software programs Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and the use of photography and hand techniques to create animated sequences. The outcome will be a set of animated GIFs that can be published to a web page or social media.

This will be a fun and fast-paced workshop that will allow you to flex your creativity and learn some new digital skills along the way.
