Course Description

AI tools can leak confidential information, produce plausible-sounding but wrong answers, encode bias in ways that aren't obvious, and create compliance headaches your legal team hasn't caught up with yet. None of this means you shouldn't use them. It means you should use them with your eyes open.

This workshop covers the practical risks for working professionals — not abstract doomsday scenarios, but the things that actually go wrong: an employee pasting customer data into a free chatbot, a hallucinated citation in a client deliverable, an internal policy that's vague enough to be useless. We'll work through real examples of each, what went wrong, and what to do differently.

We'll also cover the basics of what to ask your IT and legal teams, what kinds of policies are worth pushing for, and how to think about AI in regulated industries (healthcare, finance, education, legal).

You'll leave with: A personal checklist for safer AI use, a starter template for a team AI policy, and clearer questions to ask the people who own compliance at your organization.
Good for: Anyone using AI at work, especially in roles where confidentiality, accuracy, or regulation matters.
