AYP-PEP-01 - Piano Extension Program (PEP)

Course Description

The Piano Extension Program (PEP) has been providing piano lessons and music education to area students of all ages and levels at a reasonable rate since 1996. Founded by the late Arlene Kies, piano lessons at the PEP are taught by a qualified roster of teachers.

Space is limited. Enroll early to guarantee your spot. After enrolling in a session, scheduling preferences are part of the CampDoc process (explained below). Final student/teacher placements will occur after registration closes. Exact scheduling will be coordinated between the teacher and student or their parent/guardian.

Lessons are sorted into different sections based on the experience of the teacher and priced accordingly.The following options are available:

• Section A: Taught by select high school upperclassmen who are advanced pianists but newer to teaching and coached by Rebecca Austin-Bolster. Available for 30 minute lesson only.
• Section B: Taught by current UNH students who are either majoring in music or taking classes/lessons in the Music Department. Available for 30 minute lessons or 45 minute lessons.
• Section C: Taught by experienced teachers with a music degree and/or multiple years of teaching experience. Available for 30 minute lessons or 45 minute lessons.

Sibling Discount: Families registering more than one child at the same time through a Family Account can receive a 10% discount. You must have two or more children's enrollments in your cart for the discount to be available. We recommend logging into your Family Account first and then putting the session in your cart. Once all enrolling children have been added to the cart, click on "Apply a Discount" in the cart and select the "pepsib" discount in the drop down. Only one discount can be used per enrollment and payment, and the discount must be applied upon initial enrollment for all children. It cannot be applied after enrollment is complete.

Lessons are held at the Paul Creative Arts Center (PCAC), 30 Academic Way, Durham NH. Additional information including program drop off and pick up locations are sent directly from program staff.

To request a Drop or Transfer from a Youth Program, contact the PEP Director (info below). Please include the full name of the participant(s) and clearly state the program and session(s) to be adjusted. This does not guarantee a refund but alerts us that a drop has been requested. The Director will contact the adult student or parent shortly after receiving the drop request. A cancelled enrollment will be refunded (minus a $75 administrative fee) if the drop request is received 14 days or more before the session start date. Within 14 days of the session start date, no refund is provided.
